Description
Price advances on expanding range, but reverses to close well off its high on a sharp increase in volume.
Behavior Notes:
- Wide range stalling weeks always close higher and may contain an exhaustion gap on the daily chart.
- Heavy volume is very common, but not always present within a stalling week.
What you need to know
Wide Range Price Stall after an advance is a sign of selling into strength and it may lead to a significant top for a stock.
